Petra Morbin joined Skills Finland as Project Director for WSOS Development Centre

The mission of the Project Director is to cultivate the Centre into a development and research unit that will support WorldSkills International in developing the Occupational Standards used in WorldSkills Competitions.

WorldSkills Occupational Standards Development Centre is a project by WorldSkills International and Skills Finland. The Centre develops the Occupational Standards used in WorldSkills Competitions to meet global standards and industry needs. This is done in cooperation with WorldSkills Members, industry, education providers, and other stakeholders. Petra_Morbin.png

Before starting at Skills Finland in the beginning of May, Petra Morbin worked as a Service Manager in the Department of Customer Relations and Development in Omnia, the Joint Authority of Education in the Espoo region. Petra has worked with VET for almost 20 years in different roles, ie. as a Vocational Teacher, Senior Account Manager and Project Manager.

"I'm looking forward to all the opportunities the Centre has to offer to our network and VET in general. We get to influence the attractiveness of vocational education, and on a global level, the identification of future Skills needs as well as the utilisation of data and knowledge in the field of VET", Petra states.

Alongside with Morbin, Emmi-Maria Husu from Skills Finland works at the WSOS Development Centre as a Project Assistant.
