In spring 2023, we followed the lives of seven young people across Finland who had chosen vocational education, in the Amispäiväkirjat programme. Among them was Viljami Turve, a plumbing student who had earned the Best of Taitajas title that same year. The series reached around 1.3 million viewers on Nelonen’s channels and the Ruutu streaming service.

Now the series continues, and in autumn 2025 we will get a glimpse into the lives of seven new main characters. This time, we’ll follow:

  • logistics students Netta Kinnunen and Sella Pessa from Tampere Vocational College Tredu

  • surface treatment student Vilma Hiltunen from Lappia

  • car mechanic student Aapo Heinämäki from Hyria

  • business student Henna-Riikka Äijälä from the Joint Municipal Authority for Education in Jokilaakso, Jedu

  • media student Leevi Pajukangas from Vamia

  • confectionery student Erika Ukkonen from Saimaa Vocational College Sampo

The series follows the students’ daily lives, dreams, successes, failures, sorrows, and great joys – moments when everything either falls perfectly into place or crashes spectacularly.

The programme is produced in cooperation with Skills Finland, six different vocational colleges, and business partners such as Kaukokiito and K-Auto.

The series will start on Liv and Nelonen in September. Join us in following these young people as they build their own paths toward their dream profession!
