Board and working committee

The Board of Skills Finland consists of members representing the association's stakeholders, who are appointed for a three-year term at a time.

The Board, which has up to 12 members, is selected at the association’s general meeting. The Skills Finland Board meets 5-6 times a year. Members of the Board undertake to promote the association’s mission and to act in accordance with the objectives set for the association. The Board manages the association’s affairs in accordance with Finnish law and rules and the association's decisions. In addition to the education administration and vocational education and training institutions, teacher and student organisations, employer and employee organisations are also represented on the association’s Board.

Working committee

The working committee is a body responsible for preparing the work done by the Board. It meets 9-10 times per year and makes decisions within the limits of the powers granted to it. The working committee monitors the realisation of the action plan, performance targets and budget as well as the solvency of the association on the operative level.

The working committee consists of Board members Hannu Koivula, Maiju Korhonen and Taija Paasilinna.
