Registering competitors for the Taitaja2026 semifinals
The registration period for national championships is open until 21 November 2025. Please note that the official languages of the competition are Finnish and Swedish. The process of application for international guest competitors will be announced later.
Competing in Taitaja is a great way to learn in an engaging way and make new connections!
If you're a vocational student and would like to participate, contact your teacher and ask about the possibility. The registration coordinator of the educational institution will submit all registrations by 21 November 2025, but internal registration deadlines may vary between institutions.
The competitors in the Finnish National Championship Taitaja are to be 22 years of age or younger during the year of the competition, and study for a vocational upper secondary qualification at a vocational institution in Finland. The official languages of the competition are Finland's official languages, Finnish and Swedish.
However, Taitaja allows young people from other countries to compete in Taitaja as international guest competitors. The competition language for international competitors is English. They will not compete for medals, nevertheless the competition is a great way to test one’s vocational skills and get beneficial experience for future EuroSkills, WorldSkills or Abilympics Competitions. The process of application for guest competitors will be announced later.
The semifinals will be held in educational institutions and companies during week 5/2025, the last week of January. The Taitaja2026 final will take place in Tuusula from 18 to 21 May 2026.
