Finland has participated in EuroSkills competitions since the first one in Rotterdam in 2008. We have been actively involved in the WorldSkills Europe (WSE) Board and in developing the skills and the competiton. Over the years we have gained quite a few medals, too.

Held every other year, the EuroSkills competition is the European championship in vocational skills. In the EuroSkills competition, vocational students and those who have already received their qualifications test their mettle in over 50 events. Competitors must be 18-25 years of age.

Finnish competitors to international are selected by reherseal competitions, that are open to everybody. Selection is made approximately one year before EuroSkills competition.
